Lighting

Lighting has a great impact on different themes and settings in films. In this exercise, we found how different lighting techniques have different effects on different scenes in films. We showed many different example of different types of lighting, some of these examples are: Low key lighting, high key lighting, backlighting and filler lighting. When looking at the different types of lighting, we realised that it has a massive impact on the shot. For example, when there was no lighting it was very dark, you was not able to see who the person was that you were filming and the things around them were also not very clear. When using filler light, this changes. The person you are filming suddenly becomes easily visible and you can see exactly what they look like. As it is a lot clearer, you are able to see what they are doing very clearly and you know exactly where they are.
